Roving Ball: Tricolor, Two-tone, or Grey
Roving Ball: Tricolor, Two-tone, or Grey This lovely, very soft roving is from the separated black, white and grey fleeces of several sheep in our flock of heritage breed Jacob sheep. $22 per 4 oz ball or $20 each for multiples. SE2SE stickers available (please request one!) Choose from tricolored, two-tone, or a lovely grey. Jacob roving is naturally colored from the wide range of shades of brown, cream, black and white in the fleeces. A primitive breed, Jacob fleeces vary greatly in crimp and texture. Our flock’s fleeces tend towards medium soft.
White Yarn
White Yarn This lovely 2-ply DK yarn was washed and twisted after spinning, to wash out any spinning oils and dust, and to let it bloom! 200 yds per 4 oz. skein. $22 per skein or $20 each for multiples.
Grey Roving Ball
Grey Roving Ball This roving is perfect for needle felting, sock yarn, or outerwear; it is from some of our less soft fleeces and some with shorter fiber length (so yes, it may "shed" a bit as you work with it!) and you may find it more forgiving and easier to spin. There are varying, subtle shades of grey throughout each 4 oz. ball. $20 per 4 oz. ball or $18 each for multiples. SE2SE stickers available (please request one!)
Barberpole Yarn
Barberpole Yarn We carefully hand separated the black and white fibers of some of our nicest flock members to end up with these lovely yarns. So soft, so squishy! The "barberpole" is one ply of white and one of black, and will give you a gorgeous tweedy result. This 2-ply DK yarn was washed and twisted after spinning, to wash out any spinning oils and dust, and to let it bloom! 200 yds per 4 oz. skein. $22 per skein or $20 each for multiples. SOLD OUT
Gray Roving Bump
Gray Roving Bump This luscious, next-to-skin soft roving is from the blended lilac fleeces of several sheep in our flock of heritage breed Jacob sheep. $22 per 4 oz. bump or $20 each for multiples. This batch of roving has some very small skin flakes, or dandruff, scattered throughout. Be assured that this is NOT scurf. An experienced spinner (and repeat customer) reports to us that it spins just fine, and she finds it easy to flick out these little flakes. Please consider, before purchasing, whether this will be an issue for you. The price has been reduced approximately 10%.
Tricolor Roving Bump
Tricolor Roving Bump This fun, soft tricolor roving is from the separated black, white and grey fleeces of several sheep in our flock of heritage breed Jacob sheep. $22 per 4 oz. bump. SOLD OUT
